Congratulations to Scoil Phobail Bhéara who beat Salesian College, Pallaskenry, in the Muster U19 Schools football final in Limerick.
The Beara team started brightly and were up 4 points inside the first 10 minutes despite playing against the breeze. With, Pallaskenry scoring a goal against the run of play, the team dug in for a long battle and by half time the teams were level. .
With less that 10 minutes remaining, Pallaskenry led b y 3-7 to 2-8 under every worsening weather conditions. With the game in the melting pot, this group of resilient players outscored the Limerick team by 1-5 to 1 point in the time remaining to win the the Corn Sheáin Uí Mhaolomhnaigh.
